Welcome Back Information and Guidelines
Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians:
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Del Roble School.
The staff and I are looking forward to working with you and your child as we continue to focus on student success.
If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for us during the year, please feel free to call the school at 408- 225-5675 ext. 312200.
Our school office hours are 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Tuesday August 9th - CLASS LISTS POSTED on ParentSquare after 4:00 PM.
ALL CLASS ASSIGNMENTS ARE TENTATIVE UNTIL 08/31/22.
Thursday August 11th FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
All students start at 8:10 AM and end day at 1:30 PM.
August 11-17 is EARLY DISMISSAL for ALL Grades at 1:30 PM.
Thursday August 18th REGULAR SCHEDULE Begins:
TK/Kinder 8:10-1:45
Grades 1-3 8:10-2:15
Grades 4-7 8:10-2:30
EVERY Tuesday is early dismissal for ALL grades at 1:30 PM

DO NOT DRIVE OR PARK IN THE PARKING LOT
ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL:
School starts at 8:10 a.m. Students are not to arrive on campus earlier than 7:50 AM each morning.
We cannot provide supervision before 7:50 AM.
Students are to leave the campus immediately after dismissal unless the teacher has notified otherwise.
Students should not wait for older siblings who have a later dismissal time.
If your child consistently arrives at school before 7:50 am or is picked up after 1:45 (TK-Kinder), 2:15 (1-3) after 2:30 (4-6 grades) a referral may be made to the District’s Safe School Specialists.
ATTENDANCE:
Attendance is expected every day that school is in session. If you are absent for an illness a doctor’s note is expected the day you return.
A parent is to call the office for each day the student is not in school. Please call 408-225-5675, push #1.
Leave student name, name of teacher, reason for absence.
If the student is tardy or checked out early a doctor/dentist note is required.
AFTER HOURS INFORMATION: You can leave messages between the 4:00 PM and 7:30 AM hours when the school is closed.
EMERGENCY/CHANGE OF ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER:
Notify the school immediately if you change your address, home phone number or work-phone number.
This is for the protection of your child. In case of an emergency, we must be able to contact you.
PARKING ZONES;
Please Do Not Park in a Red Zone at any time.
Please park on Avenida Almendros or other nearby neighborhood streets to drop off/wait for your child (ren).
Children are to take advantage of the crossing guards at the crosswalk. Children are to walk on the sidewalk around the parking lot.
They are not to walk through the parking lot. Handicap spaces are limited. Please do not abuse your handicap placard.
PARENT COMMUNICATION:
Parent letters, schoolwork and District information will be sent via ParentSquare only.
Updated Email/phone are vital to the communication success at Del Roble.

BIRTHDAYS AND OTHER PERSONAL EVENTS:
Birthday balloons, flowers, party favors, cupcakes, etc. are not acceptable for birthday celebrations.
We encourage donating a book to the classroom in honor of your child’s birthday.
